Pouilly-Fuisse, Domaine Christelle Greffet
Type: White Wine
Grape(s): Chardonnay
Wine Region: Pouilly-Fuisse, Burgundy, France
Tasting Notes: Made from the Chardonnay grape variety, on clay-limestone soils, this is a rich and powerful wine, bringing finesse to the palate. It will develop aromas of hazelnut and honey, then flint as it ages.
Located on the heights of Solutré-Pouilly, this family-run vineyard was established in 1929 by Léon, the great-grandfather of the current owner. Over the years, each generation has played a vital role in shaping the estate—Georges, Marc, and Ludovic contributed to its expansion, modernisation, and the development of wine production and marketing.
The estate produces only dry white wines: Pouilly-Fuissé, Saint-Véran, and Mâcon-Solutré-Pouilly, all sold in bottles directly from the domaine.
Suggested food and wine pairing: It goes perfectly with fish, white meats, but also with couscous, sushi and goat cheese.
