Description

Type: White Wine
Grape(s): Morio-Muskat

Tasting Notes: Wonderfully perfumed nose with elderflower, apple and hints of pineapple. The wine has a very playful floral aroma, followed by a delightful light palate, true to the grape varietal.

Morio Muskat is an old, very rare variety which appeared in 1928. The monkey comes from a stuffed toy monkey that was found near the vines and left there, becoming a mascot for the vines.

Delicious!

This is one of the favorite wines I've received from my subscription. Tropical flavors usually seem to accompany overly intense wines but this wine was subtle, I think playful explains it well. It's light and delicate, yet has a presence that can't be denied. Aromas of refreshing green apple, elderflower and something sweet, definitely tropical but I found it hard to pinpoint. With a long finish and low alcohol it's far to sip able, very delicious.
