Chablis, Domaine Fournillon
Type: White Wine
Wine Region: Burgundy, France
Tasting Notes: A Chablis that really tastes like a Chablis. Rich grassy nose and a luscious, rich mouth filling taste. Superb.
Based in the tiny village of Bernouil, just north-east of Chablis, this small family-owned domaine bottle less than 10% of their production so remain relatively unknown. The wines are splendidly typical of the region - crisp and mineral but with an underlying generosity of palate, making them a wonderful yet restrained partner for food. Value such as this is relatively unheard of in Burgundy nowadays.
Suggested food and wine pairing: Shell fish, goats cheese.
