DaDi Rosso Toscana IGT, Avignonesi
Type: Red Wine
Grape(s): 37.8% Sangiovese, 20.65% Alicante, 18.5% Canaiolo, 17.8% Mammolo, 5.25% Ciliegiolo
Wine Region: Tuscany, Italy
Tasting Note: Silky smooth tannins and delicate notes of punchy redcurrant and ripe raspberries and cherries bring a balance to the slight cinammon spice nose. Fresh, sophisticated and sleek, achieved because this red was aged not in oak or steel but the traditional Tuscan clay, in confluence with Avignonesi's aims to stay true to local habitat.
Suggested food and wine pairing: Vibrant enough to be drunk unaccompanied, with enough body and hints of star anise to be enjoyed with barbeque, or, as colder months draw in, lamb or beef stews.
A note from the producer: Our philosophy is grounded in a simple and rigorous idea: to make wine starting from the land, respecting time, place and the responsibility toward what comes next.
