Description

Type: Armagnac
Grape: Ugni Blanc
Region: South West, France

Tasting Notes: Armagnac, the oldest brandy in France, has a rich history dating back to 1310. Originally lauded for its 40 virtues by Maître Vital Dufour in his book “To maintain health and stay in good shape,” Armagnac was even offered by medical professional (Apothecaries) for its perceived therapeutic properties until the late 18th century. Lionel Osmin & Cie created this range of Armagnac to pay homage to the heritage of this authentic eau-de-vie. Their commitment to preserving the tradition is reflected in their adherence to the highest quality standards. The Ugni Blanc 2012 expresses fruity orchard notes and lime blossom florality. Discover layers of plummy depths, interlaced with hints of cinnamon spices and a refreshing, stony minerality.

Suggested food and wine pairing: Would pair wonderfully with the luxurious and buttery texture of foie gras or try with the sweet and caramelised flavours of an apple tart.
