Ocha, Bordeaux Rouge

£21.99
Description

Type: Red Wine
Grape(s): Merlot - Cabernet Franc
Wine Region: Bordeaux, France

Tasting Notes: Under the Ocha label, Alexander Sichel has created a Bordeaux rouge that steers clear of heavy extraction, instead favouring fruit-forward charm, supple structure, and the crisp clarity that limestone soils provide. The result is a wine that invites enjoyment now, yet carries the subtle backbone to reward a little time in the cellar.

The Producer: Ocha Collines Calcaires owes its name to the chalky hills (“collines calcaires”) of the Bordeaux region, where the vineyards lie on limestone-rich slopes that bring elegance and minerality to the wine. The French family firm Maison Sichel, founded in 1883, has maintained its tradition of quality and terroir-respect, blending the house’s long experience in Bordeaux viticulture with a commitment to freshness and modern vitality.

Suggested food and wine pairing: Perfect with herb-roasted poultry, grilled vegetables, charcuterie or a simple steak
