Tasting Notes: Red fruits and lots of mineralty - reminiscent of a fine Burgundy - this is one of the purest wines you will ever taste! Artuke's Escolladero Rioja is a single vineyard wine from high up in the Sierra Cantabria. From poor, mineral rich soils this is not a traditional style of Rioja but it is certainly one of the finest wines from the region. 

The Guía Peñín is an annual publication that reviews and rates Spanish wines. It was created by José Peñín and his team, who are highly regarded wine experts in Spain. The ratings in the Guía Peñín are based on a 100-point scale and as you can see the El Escolledero has had some brilliant scoring.
