The Martin family has been based in Saint-Julien for more than three centuries and has engaged in various different professions all with links to viticulture (farmers, cellar masters, managers, coopers), whilst at the same timeowning a little vineyard known by the name of Château Haut-Beychevelle Gloria. This cru, which is considered to be the family's historic property and crown jewel, was the original source of Henri Martin's passion for wine.
Suggested food and wine pairing: Grilled beef fillet, rack of lamb, terrine or cheese
Drinking nicely, having tried a bottle a year or so a go, it has broadened and opened up. Dark berries and well integrated oak.
