Kaesler Cabernet Sauvignon
Type: Red Wine
Grape(s): Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine Region: Barossa Valley, Australia
Tasting Notes: Strong primary core colour with garnet rim.Cedar spice and layered with red stone fruit on the nose. Soft elegant palate with hints of blackberry and capsicum. Pleasantly puckering tannins with a smooth lingering finish.
The fruit was harvested in the cool of the morning. 14 days on skins, with a cold soak for the first 12 hours. The wine was pumped over twice per day, and after pressing it was matured for 21 months in 25 % new French oak (the balance 2 and 3 years old).
The Kaesler family were pioneers who settled in the Barossa Valley in the 1840s. In 1891 they bought a parcel of land and in 1893 planted their first vines. Today, Kaesler Wines are made from these ancient, dry grown vineyards by the third owners of this magnificent property.
