Tasting Notes: Bollinger named their vontage cuvee's 'La Grande Annee' - the great year. Only exceptional harvests are destined to be bottled under this label, first introduced in 1976. Fermented entirely in small old oak barrels, and aged on the lees for 6.5 years to impart texture, the 2014 vintage is precise and fruity with aromas of lemon, quince, bergamot and cherry and nutty scents. The palate is fine and intense with delicate acidity and flavours of orchard fruits and citrus. A wine that will age gracefully for many years.
