Margaux Selection

9 in stock

Type: Red Wine
Grape(s): 65% Cabernet Sauvignon 30% Merlot 5% Cabernet Franc
Wine Region: Margaux, Bordeaux

Tasting Notes: Red savoury & classic. The tannins are quite powerful and generally
concentrated with notes of blackcurrant, fig and prune. The warm summer is
slightly tipping the balance, although there is a lot of Left Bank signature.

The Estate: This wine is a de-classified estate from Margaux with a great pedigree. Margaux is an important appellation in the Haut-Médoc of Bordeaux, in the south-west of France. Situated 25 kilometres north of the city of Bordeaux, the appellation is renowned for producing supple and flavourful wines, mainly based on Cabernet Sauvignon. As this wine is de-classified from one of top Châteaux in Bordeaux this wine represents excellent value for money!

Suggested food and wine pairing: Perfect with beef and venison.
