Jamie says: "The Camel Valley Rose Pinot Noir Brut Sparkling won the International Trophy for best Sparkling Rose at Bollicini del Mundo for 2 consecutive vintages - 2008 & 2009. The 2009 also went on to wine not one but TWO International Wine Challenge Trophy awards which really put this wine on the map. One of these was for best English Sparkling Wine and the other was for the Best Sparkling Rose - which includes Champagne, it actually beat Bollinger Rose into 1st place! Not only this but the Camel Valley Sparkling Rose 2009 also won a gold which seems rather trivial after the other two awards but is a fantastic achievement in its own right. No mean feat I'm sure you'll agree. Although the vintage of the Camel Valley Rose Pinot Noir Brut Sparkling wine has moved on it is still an outstanding wine that has lovely floral and delicate strawberry fruit nose, crisp acidty with a touch of yeast and is very well balanced. All at a fraction of what it would cost you to buy a half decent Rose Champagne which, according to the medals, would not be anywhere near as good either."
