Juve y Camps Reserva de la Familia 2006 Magnum, Cava

Jamie says: "Juve y Camps make truly excellent Traditional Method Sparkling Wines.  Their vintage Reserva de la Familia has lots of biscuity yeast flavours, with real depth and fantastic cleansing acidity.  The grapes come from selected vineyards and has an average of 36 months bottle age, where it develops all of the rich comlex flavours.  This is the Cava of choice in Catalunya and each botlle of Reserva de la Familia is individually numbered.  Cava got a bit of a bad name as it was used by the supermarkets as a battle ground and some Cava houses (not Juve y Camps though) were happy to get involved which resulted in sub-standard product being sold at ridiculously cheap prices all to get customers through the door."
