Jamie says: "The V2 from the tongue-twisting Valquejigoso is truly something special.  The UK has a tiny allocation of this seriously ambitious wine.  V2 is instantly captivating as soon as you pour it from the impressive bottle. Incredibly complex nose: sexy French oak, chocolate, coffee, cocoa powder with layers of red fruits, black cherry, liquorice, aniseed, kirsch with a smokey character.  This wine has vast depth and amazing clarity - the palate is fresh with great elegance and integrated tannin. Very complex it carries its 14% ABV very well. There is an incredible mineral character that brings fantastic freshness and combines with the cherry & chocolate (etc etc) that came through on the nose. Multi-layered, lots of dimensions with again, amazing purity. Very, very good - I feel that this is a wine that will become a Spanish icon and would be comfortable in the most celebrated of Spanish company."
