Further information:  Marlborough is New Zealands most famous wine region - largely thanks to the international success of the Sauvignon Blanc grown here but they are also able to make some fantastic Pinot Noir too.  Marlborough is located in the North-East corner of New Zealand's South Island.  Marlborough enjoys one of New Zealand's sunniest and driest climates.  Marlborough's climate provides lots of sunshine but not excessive heat, this allows the grapes to enjoy a long, slow ripening period.
