Jamie says: "A fantastic & really interesting wine that was awarded 90 points from Mr. Parker. The aromatics are a mix of dark fruits with really fresh elegant notes, think plums, soy and violets all wrapped around a mineral frame and enveloped by delightful ripe tannins. Drinking well now this wine will continue to do so for another 5 years or so. Inama must be on of the Veneto's top producers and with this Carmenere he has done something really interesting. Carmenere has gained much fame under the stewardship of Chilean winemakers but now the Old World wants it back (well Stefano Inama anway)! In a strange twist like that of the well documented Chilean affair - Carmenere has been around for ages in Italy, just mis-identified. Unlike Chile where it was thought to be Merlot, in Italy it has mainly thought to be Cabernet Franc - what is it with this grape?!"
