Jamie says: "Clos de Sarpe is a true garage wine, championed by the likes of Robert Parker (incidentally he awarded the Clos de Sarpe 2006 a phenomenal 92-95+ and 94+ at a different tasting).  Clos de Sarpe is a deep, brooding wine that is definitely built for the long-haul.  Rich, concentrated with lots of (necessary) tannin and fascinating intensity AND clarity.  It is said that it will benefit from a further 10 years of age before it really starts to drink at its best!  Clos de Sarpe is one of those wines that can handle all of the superlatives which you may choose to throw at it and its limited production is sure to see that it is always a wine in demand."
