Jamie says: "Ormes de Pez is well-known for offering great quality for the price.  Chateau Ormes de Pez benefits from the experience of the wine-making team at Lynch-Bages which goes some way to explain this fantastic price-quality relationship.  The 2006 offering from Ormes de Pez shows classic Saint-Estephe character - fuller flavours and great balancing acidity.  The 2006 Ormes de Pez has been a bit of a sleeper but it now looks as though it is really knitting together with dark fruits, spice and a grainy earthy character and a gamey character.  Ormes de Pez 2006 certainly has a lot of depth and looks to be blossomming into a bit of a cracker."
