Jamie says: "I love this wine!!! Every now and again I taste something that that sets off a spark somewhere and this is one of those wines and producers. Raisins Gaulois is wine in its most natural sense. The image on the label sums the wine up perfectly - somebody squeezing grapes so that the juice runs straight into your mouth! This is so much fun - it has lots of soft juicy redcurrants and cranberries with a hint of florals and a herbaceous character displaying terroir. The vineyards are farmed to organic and biodynamic principles, the grapes are harvested by hand, vinified with natural wild yeasts and without the use of sulphur (although a tiny dash of sulphur is used to stabilise the wine at the end). Not only this but Marcel is not a fan of the French apellation system so this wine is just Vin de France but what a vin de France!"
