Jamie says: "Delicious.  Pretty simple to write a note for this wine!  From a Cru (Regnie) that I must confess I was not familiar with this old vine (average 40 years) Gamay has great depth, crunchy fruit and offers much better value than much that comes out of the better-known crus.  I received a call from the British owners of this vineyard saying that they were in my area visiting friends, would I mind if they called in to introduce themselves.  It's not the first time something like this has happened and I greeted the meeting with some scepticism as normally something like logistics makes things difficult to act upon.  However I tasted this and I was instantly won over - I bought some on the spot!  I hope you enjoy and raise a glass to some Brits leading the way (literally) in the back-garden of the French!"
