Winemaker's Selecetion Single Vineyard Carmenere 2009, Tamaya

Jamie says: "Tamaya Winemaker's Selection Single Vineyard Carménère is the estates top red wine.  It is an elegant, complex wine with qualities typical of the Limari Valley. The resulting wine has blueberries and blackcurrants on the notes with leather and black pepper. Spices, tobacco and wood aromas come through from the wood, with notes of dried herbs, roasted red peppers, dried tomatoes and cacao on the finish.  The grapes were hand harvested and the wine was aged in casks for 12 months, only the best casks were selected for the final wine."
