The wine is predominantly Sauvignon Blanc (70%) with Semillon (25%) and Muscadelle in support in a classic white Bordeaux blend.

Fresh and grassy Sauvignon Blanc character with a little bit more weight being provided by the support stars.

In the heart of the Entre-Deux-Mers in the Bordeaux wine-producing region, near Creon, the vineyards of Chateau Haut-Pougnan spread on the slopes of the right bank of the Garonne, with superb clay-limestone soil and gravel.

That is the nature of calcareous clay these soils resulting in very fine wines with subtle bouquet.

Suggested food and wine pairing: This Sauvignon Blanc based white wine pairs really well with seafood and fish.
